
At this point, I've aligned all the forms, attached them to the strongback and installed the end forms. I'm using an internal stem. There is a close up of it in the next image.
I also have the first two strips attached.

Here is a close up of the inner stem. the stips are glued to this piece. I carved it from a piece of 1/2" thick cedar. It has to be beveled on both sides so the strips sit flush to it. You can also see the first two strips. The shear strip is a choclate colored piece of cedar. The light strip is pine. I was surprised how well it fit.
